Stronger Together, Built to Last: Introducing the STAR Framework

The STAR Framework, developed by the National Center for State and Tribal Elder Justice Coalitions and the Ohio Coalition for Adult Protective Services, outlines strategies for building Strategic Resilience, Trust, Adaptability, and Responsiveness, all of which work together to strengthen the meaningful collaborations we need to do this work well and for the long haul.

This session will provide an overview of elder justice coalitions, what it means to do cross-systems collaborative work, particularly for Adult Protective Services, and practical strategies for building strategic resilience, trust, adaptability, and responsiveness that support collaborative elder justice work broadly.

Panelists: Katie Block, Associate Director, National Center for State and Tribal Elder Justice Coalitions; Sylvia Pla-Raith, Deputy Director, Community Programs, Cuyahoga County Health Human Services Division of Senior and Adult Services; Anna Thomas, Executive Director, National Center for State and Tribal Elder Justice Coalitions.
