This year’s theme: The Impact of Collective Practice: Where Innovation + Collaboration Meet to Elevate APS Practice to Improve Outcomes explores how teams innovate, adapt, and partner across systems—even amid limited resources—to honor the principle of the least intrusive intervention and uphold each individual’s right to self-determination. Working with adults at risk often requires weaving together a network of support. Whether through formal partnerships or informal alliances with families, neighbors, community organizations, and concerned professionals, these collaborative care models make it possible to achieve effective, sustainable solutions for those who need them most. The 2026 AATI invites us to learn from one another, strengthen our shared practice, and reimagine what’s possible when we join expertise, compassion, and community action to enhance safety and well-being for vulnerable adults.

October 6th is the AATI Pre-Intensive which is the Article 81 Guardianship for Commissioners, Caseworkers, and County Attorneys from 9am - 4pm. The AATI Conference runs October 7th from 10:15am - 5:00pm, and October 8th from 8:30am - 1:00pm.
